# Show total invested per investment instrument in a chart in the LP report
## Learn how to add a chart to show total invested per instrument in the LP report
1\. Begin by editing an existing LP report or creating a new one.
2\. Navigate to the section labeled "LP Report Content."
3\. Click on the Portfolio Summary section to edit it. Ensure that this section is selected for inclusion in the report during the initial setup in the LP report settings.
4\. Choose to add a Portfolio Summary Chart and select the appropriate metrics from the dropdown menu. For instance, you may want to select "Total Invested - Equity."
5\. Proceed to save the changes.
