See how Rundit aggregates quarterly and yearly values automatically
Rundit automatically consolidates monthly reporting metrics into quarterly and yearly totals according to the specified aggregation rules (SUM, Last Value of the Period, Average, or None). You can view the aggregation rule by navigating to EDIT > Reporting Template > Metrics > Edit Metric. While default metrics come with predefined aggregation rules, you have the flexibility to select a rule for your custom metrics.
The available options include:
- **SUM**: For example, in Q1, the values for January, February, and March are summed together.
- **Average**: This calculates the mean of the values for the three months.
- **Last Value of the Period**: This option uses the value from March as the representative figure for Q1.
- **None**: Selecting this option means that no aggregation will be performed by default.
By choosing the appropriate aggregation rule, you can tailor the reporting metrics to better fit your analysis needs.
